The cuvée Maxime expresses great richness as it contains fruit from the oldest Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines of the property which are rooted in terroir composed with larges pebbles on clay.

The wine quickly integrates into new oak barrels after using a slow and moderate extraction process. Maturing for 24 months on fine lees gives a smooth wine of finesse. With a good balance and harmony, this wine offers a wide range of flavors and aromas and a remarkable longevity.

Château les Clauzots is a historical wine which truly represents the domaine. The red takes its quintessence from the gravel and clay terraces of Saint Pierre de Mons.
Traditionally vinified into stainless steel vats, this wine benefits from a cold pre-fermentation maceration and a slow alcoholic fermentation. Next, this wine is aged with wood contact on fine lees during 18 months. Château les Clauzots shows a vibrant intensity and freshness of fruits enhanced by a careful ageing which reveals elegant and fine wooden notes.

The sensibility of our winemakers is focused on the growth of Cabernet Sauvignon. Especially adapted to sunlight conditions and gravels soils, Cabernet Sauvignon is largely represented in our wine blending. The Cabernet Sauvignon brings freshness to ours wines, especially on hot vintages (2015, 2018, 2019), and also guarantees great tannic structure and excellent aging capacity when fully ripe.
The merlot gives roundness and smoothness to complete the balance of our wine. Present in the blend as a small percentage, the Petit Verdot, expands ours wines by its strength, its freshness and its spicy aromas, a true taste enhancer.

The white Château les Clauzots wine embodies fruit expression from the fresh terroir composed of clay and sand.

With pleasant and expressive aromas of citrus fruits, peach and exotic fruits, this white wine fully opens to display an expressive aroma. White Château les Clauzots is a reference into white Graves wines of the appellation. It presents an incredible balance between tension and an unctuous mouth. The juice is cold settled for one week prior to alcoholic fermentation at 18 degrees. Post fermentation the wines are racked but are kept on fine lees to gain in complexity during the maturation process.

Sauvignon blanc characterises our wines by a real aromatic intensity on the nose. This grape variety gives pleasant aromas of citrus fruits, exotic fruits and a typical minerality of our terroir. The mouth is built with tension and length as a result of low yields.
The rich and delicate Semillon is present at 30% and provides smoothness and volume to the final blend.

Like the Maxime red cuvée, this wine is made in the tradition of great wines. Worked with a Burgundian spirit, we only produce 600 bottles each year.

Confidential and affiliated with our Château les Clauzots Blanc, this cuvée draws its expression and character from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon aged in new French oak barrels.

Alba Plena: An enchanted parenthesis

Traditionally dedicated to the cultivation of Sémillon and Sauvignon blanc (which we love!!), our clay-gravelly soils have hosted 2000 Chardonnay vines.

Innovation and curiosity are the watchwords of this adventure! Driven by our know-how and our taste for white wines, growing Chardonnay was obvious.

From Latin, “Alba Plena” is the translation of an intense and elegant white color. This 100% Chardonnay wine is a perfect expression of this. Citrus zest, orange blossom, acacia blossom, toast, grilled almond, lychee and naturally Alba Plena mango.

2022, exceptional weather conditions

It all started with a mild, dry winter leading to early bud burst. On April 3, 4 and 5, we spent 3 whole nights ardently protecting our 2000 Chardonnay plants against frost… Just reward, the spring was subsequently mild and without parasitic pressure… The very favorable flowering took place in dry conditions and hot and very quickly. Thanks to a significant water reserve for the year 2021, the vine, a Mediterranean plant, shows a very strong resistance during the hot and dry summer.

The chardonnays were manually drafted on August 10, 2022, a historic record for earliness on the property! Never seen ! In small quantities, these juices are rich, balanced with a nice acidity.
